Wow! I shot this stuff, rating it at 400 or 800 (I don't quite remember). Incredible. The emultion is like a piece of art in itself. The grain is noticible and beautiful---grain without the mush. I just might start shooting black and white again. I use the delta 100 in my 6x6 camera. So I can go big. Hey, speaking of 6x6 cameras, anyone know where I can a leaf-shutter lens repaired in the mid-west. I guess I could ship it back to where it got repaired last time. Whatever I do, I should do it before the year is up! Tax time. Time to play that old game again. Are you going to pay, or are you going to get paid? For my last year as a freelancer, I'd better get paid a nice percent. With all the back problems and all. Knowing this administration, if you don't make a certain figure--which I definitely don't this year--you'll have to give money directly to viacom or clear channel or at&t or something---or diebold in a thank you note.
ah...
For brief moments I have thoughts of going into serious debt and buying a couple of those new soon to come out sony hd cams and a couple of g5's and building a production company. But then I remember I'm in the midwest, and people around here run like the plague is about to hit them from aggressive east coasters like myself. We're too efficient or something. I don't know. I know, this is rude to say. It's how I feel. Maybe I need to go back to New York and get some therapy. Ha! Just kidding!
Anyway, I just saw (finally) Pieces of April. I have to say, the Katie Holmes part was a disuader--and for good reason. Women today are just socialized to be uncomplex. And it shows in her acting. Compared to Patty Clarkson---there just is no comparison. Good for her. I'm glad she's nominated--she is awesome. She always has been. And two thumbs up to Tammi Reiker with the PD 150. Now I wish I'd seen it at the theatre. You just don't get the same idea of how it looks on DVD--esp. with our little tv.
