the rule of democracy

ah, just imagine hundreds of thousands of protesters on a city street in the bitter cold contesting an election because of fraud... because of rigged polls... the people--in the streets--because they know that who was elected is not who they voted for. Even though it was a "close" election with 49% to the victor and 46% to the opposition. The people didn't just shrug their shoulders and spit in the direction of the part of the country that voted for this "49%" victor. They took to the streets and said "look, world--this election was rigged!". The opposing candidate didn't concede. No, he told his people to go to the streets and protest--not violently--that democracy is at stake. and that's just what the people did--for days. until the supreme court listened and ruled polls invalid.

sounds like a clip from my dreams, right? from your dreams, right?

well, it's kiev, kids. the people of the ukraine care more about democracy than the people of the united states. ain't no kerry-esque oh, well concession in yanukovich.

so now what? i dunno, you tell me.
