let's make this one count!

I got this quote in an email from a NY friend of mine and it seems to be the sentiment all around:

"how can we live with ourselves if we can't look back and know that we did all we could to try to turn this country around?"

My very political anarchist neighbor expressed the same thing. It really spoke to me and was the force that swung me into motion.

Bush won't win with people like us who have this sentiment. We are the Bush and Cheney and Powell's worst enemy.

I can't even vote! Hey... could you imagine how much this country would lean to the left if immigrants and refugees were given the right to vote. I'm talking about the immigrants that have gotten their permanent residence here or have permanent asylum in this country. People like myself and my family. We could welcome back social services and look at the WTO with a real critical eye.

STOP BELIEVING WHAT THEY TELLL YOU!! Minnesota is NOT a swing state. I don't know why they call this state a swing state. It is one of the most traditionally liberal and independent state in this region. It has voted democratic for decades. Gore won this state in 2000 by a sliver because there was a large vote going to Nader. That is not what will happen this time. The NYTimes is wrong and the corporate TV is wrong. They just want to create a dramatic and ratings evoking election. Kerry is clearly ahead.
