so... what i've discovered in these last few years has been this:
1) don't be afraid of elbow grease. even if it looks like no one acknowledges the hard work.
2) determination is maybe more important than elbow grease.
3) anything is possible. anything.
3a) don't be afraid of your emotions--even if they seem 'weak'.
3b) never let them get away with it if you think it's not fair.
4) fuck 'em. if you have 1, 2 & 3... you're set.
perhaps i'll expand on each point soon.
