mr jobs... please read

okay, i've been a faithful mac user for YEARS. years. many years. color classic ii was my first mac... i'm stuck on the g4 waiting for steve jobs to log off corporate.disney and get back on the innovation trail. i waited on the ipod until the 3rd gen. and i'm still lovin' it. don't want a nano... don't want a video ipod... those don't bang like the ipod, imac or ibook once did. if the rumormills are true, the think tank at apple is finally off the pot (referencing an old industry joke: at motorola, there are mandatory drug tests, at ibm there are random drug tests, at apple there is cumpulsory drug use) creating technology--not just some teenage tinkering toy.

my 2001 g4 (466mhz) was HOT when i got it. boasting a 133mhz bus motherboard--the thing was rip roarin to go. and for $1600 it better have been. i bet my dad was cursing my name then (it was a gift from him... he's always been a pc man). i've since upgraded it -- and modernized it. and i felt good about starting to think about a g5...

until they switched to intel.

and now i read intel's technology and news.

and steve jobs is behind.

dell, toshiba and samsung have already introduced laptops with an intel core duo 2 chip.

where's the macbook pro?

which is why i'm considering dropping $3500 for a toshiba over a mac.

mr jobs, wherever you are--i hope you are reading this. i want a new mac. and you don't have what i want.
