a note on freedom of speech

you know it's a sad day when we defend bigotry and hatred under the guise of freedom speech and democracy. period. we don't condone it in the countries we are trying to "democratise" and we don't condone it in the very culture we are making fun of in these bouts of "freedom of speech". it is an effort to de-humanize a culture we have been de-humanizing for a long time. it is history that after the de-humanization -- our dominant cultures throughout humanity persue a cleansing/slavery process. it is NOT freedom of speech if a white newspaper runs a number of cartoons making fun of the native population.... making fun of the asian population... making fun of the african american population... making fun of the jewish population... but i guess in today's society it is considered freedom of speech to make fun of the muslim population.

speech is a tool to influence. the media is not free. the media is not free. again--the media is not free. if freedom of speech was truly free--and we lived in a democracy, the ground you walk on and the air you breeth would feel and smell different.

I think you can go about it one of two ways. Either you take shots at everyone, or you just shut up and say nothing. Personaly I'll take the shots. Taking shots and mentaly handicapped people is the easiest of course, because they don't mount very good retaliations. Next are Republicans, because they crap all over themselves and you can smell them coming.
