divide and conquer. useful technique.

to be clear, i don't know a damn thing about northern ireland really. but i thought this history page on the sinn fein website is insightful. i think that historically, the ideology of conquering has been refined to the point of almost perfection. it's easy--almost textbook. get in power with scare tactics, and kill off your loudest enemies and keep the people down by dividing them and pitting them against each other. (not neccesarily in that order.)

what's to gain? cigars, yachts, golf games, and most important: whatever you want.

it's fine until the little people become a mob--whatever political party you are a part of--we're all the same. the pie is still the pie and the pieces are NOT getting smaller.
